Moving...yet again

Now that we have almost completed our 1-year stay in West Lafayette, IN, where I received my PhD in 2009 and moved to Istanbul in 2010, we are moving back to Istanbul. It has been incredibly beautiful stay this time. How can I deny? We were 2 and are now 3. I have accomplished almost all of my (research) plans.

In the last couple of days, though, I wanted to slow down which resulted in some procrastinations. Unfortunately, I couldn't slow down since there are several official things to do -- which I did. Now I have to get rid of all the furniture we have but not the memories.

There is of course some blues. Every time I want to settle down, it doesn't work. Perhaps, I am following the path of my old-old-old ancestors, nomads. But the efforts of settling down and looking for new 'green fields' come with (un)predictable obstacles, surprises, and new experiences, which I think I love and am able to convert some of them into somewhat productive assets for me and my surroundings.

And, all of this has happened before and will happen again.
