Van Gogh

Yesterday evening, we watched the Impressionists. While watching it, we wanted to see some stories about van Gogh too but couldn't. So, this evening Beril went to youtube and found this piece, Simon Schama's Power of Art - Van Gogh (s01e06), an hour-long show. It was worth it. I feel very lucky to have seen these great paintings as close as possible at museums!

Btw, great job, Andy Serkis, aka Gollum!

The Impressionists

Last night, Beril was watching this TV mini series, The Impressionists. She asked me whether I would join her. So, that was a wonderful 3 hour-spending leisure activity :)

The Impressionists is about the life stories of Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, and Cézanne. The great painters of their time and today. Beril and I are lucky to have seen some of their paintings in the museums in Amsterdam and Chicago. The only disappointment we had about the series was not to see anything about Van Gogh. I thought the producers decided to cover the birth of the impressionism only.

Anyways, here is the imdb link for you.
