Trees in the winter are still alive. They might carry some ice and they might be without leaves. This painting depicts a scene from my window last winter. The weather was colorless -- grey. There was ice here and there on the ground. The trees were 'naked' or, perhaps, they were showing their 'real face'. Interestingly, there were still leaves on the ground.(In passim, I remember a disagreement among my labmates and me on whether black and white are colors or not. Of course, I was saying they are not colors :))
