Path

Yesterday I was watching THE Bob Ross on pbs. Ok, I said, this is the time for me to paint a scene. So, I started this painting and finished it this morning. I like it very much. I hope you like it too.

Red and Clouds

This painting reminds me how my friends and I, as kids, were looking at the clouds and guessing what they look like, a dragon, a dog, a rabbit, ...

This painting recently joined our family :) Deers are incredibly beautiful animals. I plan to paint some more deers in the near future.

Cats 2

I don't know whether I am a cat person or a dog person. I liked them both when I was a kid. Nowadays my nasal allergies don't like them.
I wanted to make this painting as simple as possible. The frame on the wall served as a model. The white cat is kinda manga cat. The one in the chair is a sleeping beauty.

Lady, Cat, and the Moon

I have been working on this painting for last two months. I don't remember how many times I have changed the composition and the colors.

Himura Kenshin (sold)

Himura Kenshin! A manga character! One of my best friends asked me to paint this for him. It is really hard to work on a manga drawing since the technique is reaaaally different. But, I think, I have accomplished this task. I hope you like it, my friend.

Tree of Life

As you have already guessed, I like trees. This is my imagination of the concept of the "tree of life". Maybe, one day, I can paint it upside down, who knows! :)

Landscape

So, this is how I learned painting :)

Lady Galata

Dry pastel. A Muhsin Bilyap copy/inspiration.

Wabash River

I have decided to publish my pencil drawings done, mainly, in 2007 and 2008. There are too many!

This one is Wabash River that divides the city (Greater Lafayette :) into two: Lafayette and West Lafayette.

Cats

Early paintings:
Here is a copy of a Muhsin Bilyap painting. I think it is easier to learn how to paint by looking at other really good painters.

Sunset-1 (gift)

A birthday gift for Marina!

Reflection

Reflections are one of those things that always fascinate me. Eray sent me a photo one day. When I saw his photo, I thought it was a good inspiration. It took me a while to finish the painting.

Village (sold)

This is one of the first paintings I have ever done. For this painting, I used the very first picture that I took when I was a kid. Apparently, it was very sunny day. It seems that as if the sunlight penetrated through the leaves and hence caused very spots on the road.
